7 Sep: Cocktail Party in Hawthorn

We made history.

The first event went of with all its glory in Melbourne/Australia.
The hats were beautiful, the food great and money was raised through a raffle.

5 - 9 Sep: Capella Hat Display

A small group of ladies from the community participated in a hat workshop which was organised through Flying arts. They showed the outcome in a wonderful display. The community Centre ''blossomed with hats.''

4,5,6 Sep: Preview

As part of the Fashion Exposed in Melbourne,Waltraud Reiner and Sabine Pedder busily promoted Hat week and the Blue Hat Project at the Preview in Melbourne.
There might even be a Hat book launch next year.

Last but not least
Note from the Organiser:
Thank you to everyone who got behind the idea of Hat Week this year.
There are now a few more people out there who know about how a hat is made and more people have been made aware of Beyond Blues.

I have no doubt that the course and the idea will spread and next years' Hat Week will be hopefully a lot of fun when you give those wondrous hats an airing. Should you have the need to wear hats between now and than.........well.....do NOT wait for permission....it's all in your hands and if you want to tilt your hat to a good idea and to yourself: you got to wear a hat to take it of.

Have a hatty year and we might see each other around as we present the money raised to Beyond Blues on St Catherine's day, 26 November.
